Huge Congratulations!
Tasmania Parkinson's Project has reached a major milestone — 5000 participants - built with, and led alongside, people living with Parkinson’s!
Congratulations to everyone who has walked this path with the project - it is work that has grown from years of listening — and a belief that we can do better, together.
This is much more than research. It’s a community coming together — grounded in trust, generosity, and shared purpose. For more news and information on the TPP, please visit: https://parkinsons.utas.edu.au/.
**Calling for PwP to donate a small amount of blood and answer a questionnaire for the TPP Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2), if you can help please click here. Or: email UTAS on parkinsons@utas.edu.au / call 03 6226 5640.

Parkinson's Tasmania has partnered with A Tasmanian Lifeline (ATL) to support the Parkinson's community
In May, training sessions took place with ATL staff to equip them with skills to help support the mental and emotional health of People with Parkinson's, their families, friends and carers. (Left) Jacquay Christie (Community Operations Officer for Parkinson's Tasmania) during a session.
A Tasmanian Lifeline (ATL) is a free telephone support service offering compassionate, non-judgmental listening and emotional support to Tasmanians of all ages who are experiencing a tough time. Whether it's loneliness, stress, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or simply needing someone to talk to, ATL is here to listen.
Call us on 1800 98 44 34 or book a callback at https://atasmanianlifeline.com.au/book-a-call. Available 8am–8pm, seven days/week, 365 days/year.
